FG Don Vow Say Schools Go Safe Again, No More Kidnapping!

My people, na big gist I carry come today! Federal Government don make am clear say dem no wan hear anything wey concern school abduction again!

Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, drop this one for us during him visit to NSCDC Headquarters. E talk say this administration go dey serious about the matter, as dem don declare zero-tolerance for bandits wey dey disturb our pikin dem for school!

According to Dr. Alausa, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don give order say all measures go dey taken to secure our schools make dem dey safe for teaching and learning. You sabi say the first move na to upgrade the National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre (NSSRC) wey dey for NSCDC. Na wetin dem go use arrange all these security things make e dey easier for swift response to any emergency.

Alausa come dey talk say dem go decentralize this NSSRC to all states and local government areas. E dey important so that if wahala show face for any school, dem go fit respond quick-quick. Na wetin fit save our pikin from these bad guys!

But that’s not all o! Dem don promise say every school, public or private, go get panic button wey go connect dem directly to local government control center if dem see anything wey no gree. Dis one go make security agencies fit quick response! No more waiting around like say we dey play football in the rain.

And you know wetin, this government no dey play as dem plan to set up a Safe Schools department for Federal Ministry of Education. Dis department go dey focus on coordinating national implementation and link up with NSCDC for better collaboration. Na so e suppose be!

The Commandant-General of NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Audi, come talk say dem don start to dey address security threats with dem special female squad wey don already prevent over 110 security issues for schools. Wetin be failed locks when the locks dey work?

But no be lie, as dem come do vulnerability assessment, e show say more than 60,000 schools need serious security upgrade! I mean, how schools go dey porous like sieve? Them say dem wan make changes to protect students and learning environment anyhow!

However, na funding wahala dey for ground o! Because the money wey dem dey get no dey reach the amount wey dem need for school protection matter! E no too easy for NSCDC to operate wey no get enough cash backing. But dem still dey committed to work hand in hand to create safe space for our children.

So my people, this one na good news and I dey shine my eyes make sure say government fit follow through this promise. Make we all pray say our pikin go dey safe for school, and no be just word matter!
