According to Dr. Mohammed Goje, wey be the Executive Secretary of Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), dem get the call around 8:00 pm and quickly gather rescue team go the scene. E talk say dem fit control the fire before e go spread to other houses. This one fit save plenty people from wahala.
“Our team work like say na fire they chase dem before dem quench am. Two people dey alright now as dem don take dem go hospital and dem don discharge dem. Thank God say nobody serious don get problem,” Dr. Goje yan.
Dr. Goje also commend the team wey respond sharp-sharp, as e no easy to fight fire under pressure. E talk say SEMA dey always ready, 24/7, to jump enter any emergency wey fit happen for the state. E advise make all residents dey follow fire safety rules well-well to avoid wahala for future.
E continue say, “Make everybody dey watch out and no waste time to report any fire matter. Quick action fit save life and property. We still dey check the house wey the fire touch, and we go give more update as e dey hot.”
