This tragedy happen for Saturday evening around 7:48 p.m. as the canoe wey carry 52 people dey waka from Adiyani town for Jigawa to Garbi town for Yobe. Na during the journey wahala just burst, and the vessel no fit carry all that load again.

Dr. Mohammed Goje, wey be the executive secretary for Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), don confirm say 13 people don survive and dem don rescue dem. But wetin be the fate of the others wey still dey under water? Na wetin everybody dey pray make we fit see.

The victims wey dey among the passengers na people wey don finish their day work, dem just dey come back from fishing, farming and other hustle for Adiyani. You know say na who no dey hustle go fit understand how dis kind calamity fit chop some life!

The Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, don come out to talk say this accident na really painful and e too distressing. Him dey emphasize say we need to fast track referral services make people no go die like that. The state government get promise for the public say dem go support the families wey dey affect, and dem go ensure say rescue operation no go stop until dem fit recover all wey dey lost.
