This waka come after some wahala wey don dey brew for inside NAHCON since last month. E be like say board members come gather sharp-sharp, write petition wey go President Bola Tinubu, dem dey call for him head over plenty serious allegations like financial indiscipline and lack of transparency. Dem carry 11 names sign am, come dey talk say the man dey approve money and contracts anyhow without their consent.
According to the petition, dem accuse the prof of serious gbege, say him dey breach financial governance principles, even as e dey under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)! Wetin fit pass that one? Na so wahala begin dey unfold as him don do Hajj operations since 2025, without gree set things well.
In the statement wey him release, Prof Usman talk say: “I announce my resignation with deep reflection and gratitude to Allah. This decision no get anything to do with the commission or government. Na pure personal matter.” E go down effective from February 9, 2026, so you sabi say him don dey plan this waka for small time.
Before this resignation matter, na just last week the prof meet with Saudi Arabia Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, wey come visit Abuja.
