Enabulele yan say Edo go compete for 16 different sporting events, and dem na the only state wey don carry dem athletes go full camp from all nine Niger Delta states. He talk say, ‘Edo State go participate for 16 events with 282 athletes don settle for camp already. As e be now, Edo na the only state wey don go full camping.’ Na serious commitment dis!
Na so dis man talk say e mean say the state no dey play for sports development. E give big shout out to Gov. Monday Okpebholo for the support wey dey come from government side. E talk say, ‘This one show say the government really care about the games and the welfare of our athletes.’ E encourage the athletes make dem remain disciplined, because dem dey represent Edo.
Amadin no stop there, e bless the organizers wey dey handle the games – NDDC and Dunamis-Icon Limited. E appreciate the way dem dey prepare everything, say na wetin dem don do and wetin dem dey see for ground dey sweet am. The facilities for Benin dey almost ready, as inspections of places like Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and Wire Road courts don show say dem fit ready by 98 percent.
He add say, ‘Our athletes don enter camp, dem go dey do double training sessions to prepare well for the Games.’ Edo State don build strong reputation as the place wey get grassroots sports development, and no state fit contest am.
