These two centres get 40-bed capacity each, and dem dey ready with everything wey you fit think of: delivery rooms, antenatal and postnatal areas, theatre, preparatory rooms, and dispensaries. Na correct setup wey dem get so, e go really help normalise childbirth for the area.
During the handover, Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari-Ahmadu, talk say this project na part of President Bola Tinubu’s mission to put smile for mothers and children face. Him dey urge both the state government and beneficiaries make dem use the wahala-free facilities well because na dem go reap the benefit. E no go make sense if we get all dis fine facilities and them no dey use am.
Gombe State Governor, wey be Muhammadu Yahaya, send him deputy, Manassah Jatau, to assure say dem go take good care of the clinics. Wetin him talk no be joke oh! “We go maintain this facility because it go help fight maternal mortality for our state,” na wetin him talk. E mean say dem really dey serious about making sure mothers fit get better care.
Mohammed Goni Alkali, the Managing Director of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC), come join for the celebration. Him dey hail Gombe State Government for how dem help finish the central medical store wey fit support these centres. “Big thanks to Gombe State Government for dem cooperation. We fit now do things better because we don get cold room, offloading bay, sorting areas, and two offices,” na wetin him talk.
