According to wetin Chief Press Secretary, Olugbemiga Ayoade talk, Oba Ladoja gist dis one after meeting with some mighty people from Olubadan-in-Council and Ijaye Farm Settlers Association for his palace. E clear say those cattle wey dey roam up-and-down no go find ground for Ibadanland again.
The Oba dey talk say anybody wey catch dey disobey the law go enter trouble. “Open cattle grazing no get place for Ibadanland and Oyo State. Abeg, make una stop am or face arrest,” na so e talk. E dey reason say open grazing dey cause serious wahala for farming communities. Cattle dey chop farmland, dey terrorize innocent people, all dey slap the farmers wey no get option.
“We no go just sit down dey watch while herdsmen dey kill farmers, dey attack children, dey spoil farms. E no go happen again under my watch,” Oba Ladoja don warn. Na wetin go happen if Mogajis, Baales and other leaders no take their jobs serious. E don give them serious warning—if any shakara show for their area, dem go collect sanctions from the palace.
On top all dis mata, Pastor David Olatunji wey be chairman of Ijaye Farm Settlers Association dey cry say everyday, farmers dey face serious attack from herdsmen. “Our members dey waka for danger, children dey endangered, wives dey face assault, and our farmlands dey completely spoil,” he talk with heavy heart.
