According to Makinde wey no dey show face for event but him waka through the Secretary, Professor Musibau Babatunde, Oyo State don position as the first place wey sign and adapt the AfCFTA strategy for Africa. Na since last year 2025, dem don start to open door for better export business and industrialisation. No be small matter o!
Governor Makinde yarn say dem don sabi wetin dem dey do as dem tie down this AfCFTA thing, wey go help Oyo State products enter other African countries without wahala. E mean say market don dey open like supermarket for Oyo farmers and businesses! This thing fit turn Oyo State into the main export center wey everybody go dey rush.
“We dey look forward to bigger things, na why we gather stakeholders for this Training of Trainers Workshop. We sabi say our agriculture go blow, because demand for our products go dey increase. We fit become the place wey other states go use as reference for exports,” Governor Makinde talk.
Him add say dem dey going to make sure say both state actors and non-state actors sabi wetin dem dey do, as na this capacity-building for the trainers go help everybody shine better.
Ms Neo Theodore Tlhaselo, wey be Special Adviser for International Trade, also talk say no government fit do this work true true unless non-state people join hand. Na teamwork we dey talk for here, as everybody gatz invest their own for this big project. She collect ‘thumbs up’ for the Oyo State Government, partners, and all the people wey attend the workshop.
“Dis workshop no be play play, e go sharp our skills and make we fit align our goals as we dey work towards this AfCFTA target. E go also help us make sure say we dey compliant with wetin AfCFTA Secretariat dey expect from us.”
Event no come lack big names; even Hon Adeniyi Adebisi, the Commissioner for Trade, dey dey there with him entourage. Investors, stakeholders, and development partners join body, make everybody sabi wetin go follow this new plan wey dey land with plenty hope!
