Delta State Mourns As Veteran Broadcaster Vivian Nkechika Passes On

My people, e don happen again wey dem wan cover this sad story. Delta State don lose one of dem shining stars for broadcasting, Vivian Nkechika don waka go meet her maker. Na real loss wey everybody dey feel am well well, especially for the media industry.

The Delta State Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, no gree hide him feelings as he talk say this na serious blow to dem as he express him condolences to the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) for Delta State. Him talk say Nkechika na big deal for that sector, her voice and style dey resonate for everybody wey dey listen or watch her show.

Nkechika, wey come from Ekwuoma for Ika North East, na Assistant Manager for Programmes Department for DBS. She no just dey work, she dey build relationship with her colleagues, plus her fans. According to Aniagwu, the news of her passing come as ‘rude shock’, especially as her experience and mentorship still dey very relevant at this time.

Na person wey carry journalism for head, Vivian dey discipline, hardworking, and she no dey joke with core values of journalism. She contribute pata pata to public enlightenment and societal development. Dem go miss am well well!

As Commissioner Aniagwu dey talk, he also send message of sympathy to the family of Nkechika, the management and staff for DBS, plus all di members of NUJ wey dey Delta. Him dey pray say God go give dem strength to bear this wahala wey don land on dem.

Even as she don waka, her legacies no go die. Her impact for broadcasting and journalism go still dey inspire future generations of media practitioners. So, make everybody wan manage her values and keep the fire burning!
