As per wetin SSASCGOC acting General Secretary, Akin Okudero yarn, dem no wan see NLC for their side again as dem don settle matter wey dey revolve around union jurisdiction for Industrial Training Fund (ITF). E clear say this koro-koro matter don pass through Court of Appeal, wey don confirm say grade level 07 officers and above belong to SSASCGOC, while AUPCTRE sabi only junior staff wey dey below grade level 06.
For the statement wey SSASCGOC drop, dem talk say ITF management don align with court ruling well-well. Dem no dey force any grade level 07 officer to join SSASCGOC, nor dey collect check-off dues for anybody wey no want join. Na wetin dem call respect for di law, my people!
SSASCGOC no dey happy at all with AUPCTRE wey dey try lobby Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment to come intervene for dem matter. Dem dey shout say na only Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment get the power to handle union wahala. One ministry no fit just waka come turn court ruling upside down!
Dem even talk say Section 40 of di 1999 Constitution wey talk about freedom of association no mean say anybody fit just waka enter any union as dem like. E get rules and regulations wey dey govern this matter, and SSASCGOC don urge NLC to follow di laid down laws make everywhere dey cool.
No be small matter, o! SSASCGOC dey warn NLC make dem no dey push dem member organizations anyhow because this matter don don finish for court. Dem dey ready to follow law till di end, and dem believe say everything go still go according to wetin court don rule. E go better make NLC and AUPCTRE respect di law rather than dey cause wahala wey go fit disturb our economic activities!
