Omo, Lagos no dey sleep! Dem don announce say dem go repair Apongbon Bridge, and traffic go waka like small child wey no sabi road. The repairs go start from February 5 to March 19, and na six weeks dem dey plan for this wahala. Na Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, di Commissioner for Transportation, wey drop di gist for us.
Di work go start for di service lane wey dey link Inner Marina to di bridge, but no be small matter o! Dem go close some parts of di road, so motorist no go fit pass freely. E be like say we suppose use alternative routes as dem don give instructions on how to waka. If you dey come from Inner Marina, you go first hit di Apongbon under-bridge roundabout, meet Adeniji Adele Road, navigate through Ebute Ero, then take di ramp go Eko Bridge.
If you dey come from TBS, Third Mainland Bridge, or Victoria Island, just follow di normal route to Apongbon Bridge, but e go get adjustments. Na when dem finish di work for inbound area, dem go shift gear go di outbound side, na so dem dey manage am.
Dem also don advise say any motor wey dey go Outer Marina, CMS, or Victoria Island go need to change lanes through Ebute Ero Ramp, Leventis, before reaching Outer Marina. E no go easy, but we sabi our way around na for sharper roads!
Osiyemi talk say di temporary road closure get reason: dem wan make everything smooth like ngwongu jollof! Traffic management personnel go dey everywhere, dey guide motorists and minimize wahala as dem dey work. Dem wan ensure say una safety no be small.
Bros, no vex for di hold up wey go dey; just show patience abeg make we all cross this road together. This repair na for better future wey go make dem roads last longer so we no go run come dey face potholes later. So, take am easy and get ready for some diversion vibes!
Follow di updates for yahoo stuff wey dey happen for area, and make sure say you get your journey planned well before you waka out.
