Sam Adams, wey be di president of ECAPI, talk say dem no go laugh again. Dem dey run dis anti-drug campaign wey start from Maryland, waka pass Mushin, Oshodi, Ojuelegba, Costain, finish for Lagos Island. Na serious marching wey involved NDLEA officers and volunteers wey dey talk to pipo for different languages as dem dey raise awareness about di danger wey drugs dey bring.
Adams chop mouth say, “Drugs dey destroy lives and dey kill dreams. We dey declare zero tolerance for dis wahala!” E make am clear say any landlord wey allow dem use im property for drug business go sabi say im fit lose di house, hotel, or any asset wey get. Na to let dem sabi say dis no be play play matter o.
Lagos State NDLEA Commander, Abubakar Wali, also yan as di campaign dey focus on taking back proceeds of drug crime. E talk say dem don dey seize plenty properties and money wey dey link to drug activities, return am back to di government. E express say drug trafficking no go fit continue dey destroy our youth and community again.
The street sensitization wey dem organize no be just for show. Wali talk say dis one dey important part of di drug war. “We no go limit our arm to just arresting people. We dey target di assets and proceeds wey come from crime,” e claim. Dem dey look for ways to prevent drug abuse plus reorient di community. Na everybody supposed join hand to fight against dis wahala.
