This milestone no be small thing o! E show say dem plenty people wey don dey trust their services. As we dey talk, many cases still dey happen for our society, and na im make dis one dey very serious matter for everybody.
Mirabel be the first Sexual Assault Referral Centre for Nigeria, and dem dey provide free medical, psychosocial, forensic and legal backing for anybody wey don suffer sexual violence. E no matter your age, gender, or background – dem dey there to take care of you.
According to the founder of the Centre, Itoro Eze-Anaba, reaching 10,000 survivors na cause for both celebration and reflection. E say, ‘E dey encourage, but e still dey remind us say wahala dey plenty for ground. We still get work to do.’ Na true talk be dat!
Dem no just dey respond to crisis, but dem dey also focus on prevention education, professional training, and advocacy. Dem want see say dem fit improve how dem dey take care of survivors and make sure say justice dey happen for dem.
But wetin we go talk about the challenge? Demand for their services don increase well-well, and na im make dem dey shout for help. Dem don call on government, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and private sector make dem take this matter serious. Na national emergency we dey face!
As we dey push for better laws and policies wey go help solve the issue of sexual violence, we sabi say na together we go fit change the narrative for our country. Mirabel Centre dey stand as a beacon of hope for many, and we gatz ensure say dem get the support wey dem need to continue.
