How far, my people! E don happen! Di National Examinations Council (NECO) don finally drop di results for di 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for external candidates. Dis one don dey anticipated by many pipo wey fit miss di regular school exam.
Oga Dantani Wushishi, wey be di Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, na im come announce di results for press conference wey happen for Minna, Niger State. Na wah o, as dem dey try make sure say every candidate wey miss school fit still get chance to sit for di exam!
According to di gist from Oga Wushishi, 95,160 candidates don sit for di exam – 51,823 boys and 45,156 girls. Na serious competition, sha! Out of dem, 93,425 candidates take English Language, and more dan 73,000 of dem come collect credit. Di Math wahala no dey carry last, as 93,330 candidates show face, and 85,256 carry credit join body. Na so dem dey shine for di academics!
Now, check dis: as for di total candidates wey sit for di exam, e reach 68,166 wey get five credits and above including English and Mathematics. That be like 71.63% as dem dey calculate am. But hold on, 82,082 candidates get five credits and above without adding English and Math. Wetin we go call dem? Na another level o!
But no be only good news dey ground, o. Di wahala don show as dem catch 9,016 candidates wey chop exam malpractice, wey be serious increase from 2024 wey be only 6,160. E mean say we need shine our eyes more! Five examination supervisors dey face sanction, some of dem na from di Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while Adamawa, Kano, and Ondo don join di list too.
Dem don even mention say four exam centres go hear am as dem wan punish dem for di malpractice wey happen there. E fit mean say NECO no go use dem centres again for future exams. Na so dem dey clear di bad eggs!
