Omo! Na serious gbege dey unfold for Benue State as Federal Government don talk say dem go arraign suspects wey dem catch for the Yelwata killings. Dis one wey happen on February 2, 2026, go happen before Justice Joyce Abdul-Malik for Federal High Court, Abuja.

According to Kamarudeen Ogundele, wey be Senior Assistant on Communication and Publicity to the Minister of Justice, dem don already put all the necessary jiggery-pokery wey involve strong investigation and correct teamwork among government departments. Na true, we no wan hear any wahala wey no get basis!

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Justice Lateef Fagbemi, don clear say dis na one step wey go send big warning shout out to any wahala person wey dey look for trouble for Naija. Na him talk say, “We dey make sure say justice go shine for all dis matter.” No be small matter oh!

Dis Yelwata wahala, e don dey happen for some time, and na land dispute and communal fight wey dey carry all dis gbege for Benue. As we dey yarn, we don hear say plenty people don die and many don run leave dem house, turn am to ghost town. Na wetin cause the public to begin shout say wahala don too much, and government need to do serious something fast!

As if to boost morale, dem don already talk say investigation dey gongo. Any person wey dem find culpable go face di full weight of the law, no be say dem go just shelve matter like dat. Omo, justice dey sweet, but na when e truly happen be dat!

Dis vex matter don collect attention from everywhere – civil society groups, village chiefs, and even na the residents wey dey suffer from dis harsh reality. Dem dey demand action, and government dey try no fall hand. E go be serious lesson if dem fit catch dem wey do am!

Wetin dey happen for Benue na no small issue wey don enter the hearts of many Nigerians. E mean say government no go fit ignore dis serious wahala forever, before e turn to every Thursday and Friday jaga-jaga. As dem dey see say plenty people dey suffer, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don show concern and promise say him go support security agencies to stop dis kind wahala as fast as dem fit.
