Na the matter start when Ondo State representative, Donald Ojogo, come dey talk say the oil well wey President Bola Tinubu don approve make dem drill, fit no dey for Ogun State. But Ogun no gree! Dem don come out come explain say Eba Island na real Ogun territory since before Nigeria even become Nigeria.
According to Kayode Akinmade, wey be Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor, dem don do proper research and the maps don show say Eba Island dey fully inside Ogun area. Na so dem take dey hallelujah say primitive statements wey people dey drop no fit scatter their community!
For dem to drop more fact, Akinmade come talk say Eba no be new place. Na community wey don dey for years and even before dem create Ogun State from Western State. No amendment don happen since 1976 wey fit change wetin wey don dey happen.
The government also clear say the map wey show Eba as part of Ogun State go fit speak for itself, as e dey confirmed by National Boundary Commission. Even dem don talk say security dey around the oil well because na Ogun State na him get am.
Ogun State no just dey x-ray the oil well alone; dem don even verify the coordinates with technology wey no dey lie. Dem dey ready to open business after proper arrangement with NNPCL and law enforcement agencies wey dey guard the area.
For those wey dey spread noise wey they confuse the citizens, Ogun government don talk say, make everybody chill and no dey provoke unnecessary wahala over land matter. Omo, make we maintain peace because na wetin go help everybody.
So, as e dey hot now, Ogun State dey stand firm on top Eba Island matter, and dem dey expect everybody to join hand make we move forward without any wahala.
