As e dey celebrate him birthday, e talk wetin e don experience for him life. E don see wetin dem dey call rugged life, no be small. Born into royal family, but dem no carry gold spoon come give am, instead na hunger and struggle wey he face back then.
E talk say him mama wey be food vendor na im be the backbone wey carry am reach where e dey. Despite all the wahala for polygamous home, she still make sure say Oba get education. Na from Imososi West School dem start him journey, but dem no dey sweet oh. E enter secondary school, but when him papa sick, na so wahala start again.
Oba talk say e do plenty odd jobs just to survive. From bricklaying to hawking food, the struggle no be joke. But him no give up, as e sabi say hard work no dey lie! Every time e go look for labour for construction sites just to support him family.
Many people fit don run from their village, but Oba no run. E go Lagos, but e meet plenty challenges wey follow am well. E even become conductor for danfo. But wetin happen later? Grace follow am as he meet one big man for road wey carry am go UBA. Who no go like that kind eh?
Na so Oba start bank life, but e no just stop for that level. Him eyes dey shine for education, so he move from UBA carry go University of Lagos do him B.Sc, then na MBA for FUTA. E don collect knowledge well well!
After all this hustle, na so Oba finally take mantle as Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye. E don stay for two decades now, and as e talk, e no dey easy! But the man dey make sense for the community, as e don bring developments and investments wey make Ago-Iwoye shine bright like diamond!
Oba talk say him biggest challenge na when some people gree fight am for the throne. Dem even waka carry fire go burn him palace. But as he talk, God don dey shine am, and he don build the palace back again too. For him 70th birthday, him no fit talk any better thing pass to thank God. Life no be beans o, but him dey here to show say hard work and determination fit change story!
Him dey advise our young ones say make dem stay focused, no matter wetin dem dey face, because one day, na dem go be the leaders. E even dey celebrate him life say e never sleep for hospital one day. This man dey truly live, and na him dey show us say na person wey dey push go ahead go fit achieve him dreams.
