Na today we dey gist about one man wey don show wetin true leadership be. Masa-Udu Abdullahi-Abubakar talk about im papa, Chief Imam Abdullahi Abubakar, wey don pass away but wey don leave legacy wey go shine for many years to come.
Dis man, wey be chief imam for Akwati Mosque for Nghar community, na person wey carry mat for ground for over 50 years. Imagine e die at 93 years! Na him dey train 21 children, and dem all sabi him as kind-hearted and generous person.
As e dey talk, e mention say him papa sabi farm well well. E dey rear goats and cattle, and na so dem dey enjoy food for house. But no be only farming work dey him mind, this man also get big heart! Oyibo fit call am community leader but for him, na just imam he be till him last breath.
One time, for 2018, some bandits come attack dem community wey dey live. As dem dey run, na him papa gather over 200 Christians for mosque to save dem. Dem herdsmen wey come get over 100 guns, but e use calmness take talk to dem, beg dem to leave the Christians alone.
For four days, dem go stay for him mosque and him family feed them like say dem be one big family. Na true as him eye talk am say dem no get wahala from any side, na instead everybody come dey respect him more. People fit dey ask, wetin happen with those wey no gree for peace? But nobody fit touch him family or him community as dem all dey appreciate wetin him do.
Before e go, people don already give him many awards for wetin him do, but e get serious issues wey still dey ground. Dem government don promise to develop dem area but till now, na just talk. He dey wish make dem fulfill those promises wey go better life for im people, including good roads and hospital for sick pipo.
Abdullahi Abubakar na man of many virtues, and im son talk say one of him best teachings na kindness. E tell dem to practice kindness always, no matter wetin others dey do. This Naija wey we get need plenty of dis kind of people, especially now wey wahala dey ground everywhere.
As we dey mourn im loss, we dey remember say na one strong spirit wey bring plenty pipo together. The unity among Christians and Muslims wey him don build still dey show say we fit live together as one family if we put our mind together. Make we all learn from im life and carry that love-restoration message go far.
