Una dey hear wetin dey happen for South-East? E no go fit cool down o! Na Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer wey dey represent IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, talk say nothing wey government fit do go stop the sit-at-home wey don turn weekly tradition.
Ejimakor yarn for one post on X say as far as Kanu dey for detention, dat protest go dey continue. He gree say this sit-at-home na real reflection of how Igbo people dey vex over wetin dem dey do Kanu. E no get any executive order wey fit change dis matter.
“The Monday sit-at-home for South-East na proof say Ndigbo no dey happy at all about Kanu wahala, and e go dey happen until he come out,” Ejimakor add. Na serious statement o! Dis man know wetin he dey talk because the sit-at-home dey show how serious dem dey about Kanu’s release.
As dis matter dey hot, Governor Chukwuma Soludo don put pressure on the people to open their shops again. Onitsha Main Market, wey dey one of di biggest for West Africa, don receive order to shut down after traders no gree follow government directive to ignore di sit-at-home.
Soludo yan say di closure na to bring back economic stability, but IPOB no gree take am easy. Dem hail residents wey peacefully observe di sit-at-home, e show say dem dey stand strong for Kanu. Dem call am legitimate protest wey no fit be ignored.
But di IPOB people no take Governor Soludo threats lightly. Dem dey call am intimidation, say trader no suppose suffer for exercise wey na dem right. E be like say di tension dey rise as dem they call people for Onitsha, Nnewi, and Awka to dey go about their businesses.
IPOB also dey urge elected officials to face dialogue and advocacy instead of dropping threats. Dem no wan confrontations, especially concerning Kanu wahala. Na peaceful protest dem dey talk about, not fight.
As di gist dey go, dem dey remind all dem supporters to maintain peace while dem dey demand Kanu’s unconditional release. Na only when Kanu come out, dem go fit rest dis sit-at-home matter. Na serious issue we dey see here, and e show say di people dey stand strong together.
So as we dey watch di situation unfold, make we sabi say na unity and strong voice dey power dis protest. Kanu matter no go fade away easily, and South-East people don rally around am like no other.
