As she talk her journey, Joy say her first year no be am at all. Na so COVID-19 come scatter everything, leaving her to study something wey she no like. But wetin happen? This babe no allow the wahala bring her down. She hustle hard, collect 4.72 GPA for first semester, but wahala for second semester no let am change course. Some lectures dey online, she dey focus rewrite JAMB. Na so dem be! No wahala, she use am build her future.
When dem ask her about culture shock for university life, she laugh. Na so she talk say most OAU students dey do side hustle, whether na sell rice or freelance work, dem no dey dull. Wetin you expect? Na school of industrious graduates!
Joy no be person wey dey fail o! No fail for any exams, only small B for her departmental course, but she dey collect A like say na her birthright. Talk about hard times? Omo, Part 3 no be beans. Dem tell am say GPA for school no easy, but she no gree listen to negativity. With the help of her two big pallys, she push through and come carry perfect GPAs!
For study matter, Joy get her own ways wey dey different. She dey read actively, dey do past questions sharp-sharp after each topic. E no dey play with distractions too, social media na only WhatsApp she dey use for school gist, nothing more. Relationships? She get supportive boyfriend wey dey help her stay grounded.
Gradually, Joy climb reach top—she get First Class finish, dey collect packing awards for school, na the first female wey do so for Applied Geophysics. Imagine how her mama go dey feel now! She neva stop; she dey seek fully funded Master’s and PhD, no dulling.
