Dem World Bank Vice President, Galina Vincelette, land for Makun Primary Healthcare Centre for Sagamu to drop di gist. Na one of di 75 primary healthcare wey World Bank don upgrade under di IMPACT project. She no just talk say na building, but say na serious effort to make Nigeria healthcare delivery beta.

Vincelette yan say, “Strong primary health centres na di backbone of any resilient health system.” She sabi wetin she dey talk because di infrastructure and di welfare of staff for di Makun PHC na correct level. She even talk say di place dey clean well well – water dey, bathroom dey shine, and quarters dey for staff to take rest when dem need am. Na dia small-small details dey make system plenty better, no be just dey survive.

Health Commissioner, Dr Tomi Coker, join di discussion too. She gree say di state don solarise healthcare centres so say Naija people go fit get light 24/7 for di hospitals. Dis solar system go help boost immunisation and child health delivery. She talk say 236 health facilities also dey receive support to ensure di people get wetin dem need for their communities.

Coker no stop there o! She say all di 75 PHCs under di IMPACT project get solar energy to make sure sey dem fit deliver 24-hour service as dem promise. Makun Health Centre na one of di lucky facilities wey don receive dis backup power. Dem even involve di community for di project to make sure sey e go last, and dem dey hold regular meetings to involve dem.

Dr Elijah Ogunsola, wey be di Executive Secretary of di Ogun State Primary Health Care Board, also praise Governor Dapo Abiodun for di heart wey e don put for dis project. According to Kofoworola Olajide, di IMPACT Project Manager, dis na big achievement for Ogun State to boost healthcare delivery for di people dem.
