Before, di mill dey produce just one drum of palm oil everyday, but now, e don jump enter eight drums daily! Wetin this one mean? Na more money for di women, no be small!
The governor don talk say him dey ginger di women for di area to stand strong because soon, dem go dey export palm oil come other states and even outside Nigeria. Ah, if dem fit sell di palm oil well, e go fit turn dem into big big business women in no time. Na good news be this o!
The governor talk through him deputy, Akon Eyakenyi, say him go provide 10 tonnes of palm fruits for di women make dem fit process more oil. E even talk say dem go arrange security to protect di mill, because e get level! Plus, di governor don promise dem better light and good road to di mill. No be like before wey dem dey struggle to reach there.
Helen Obareki, di First Lady coordinator, no fit hide her joy as she talk say na dream don finally come true. Di project, as she talk, na part of wetin her mama, Patience Umo Eno, dey wish for women to join hands and form small trade clusters make dem fit support each other and climb di ladder of prosperity. E be like say dis governor dey really show love for women, no be small!
Ini Adiakpan, wey sabi plenty things for di Nigeria for Women Project, follow talk say dis initiative go teach women how to save money well, lead dem well, and even yarn about hygiene matters. E dey clear say dis project dey cover ground well and dem go still train dem on gender-based violence issues too. Abeg, na wetin we need for dis time!
Ofonime Etuknwa, di coordinator for di project in Akwa Ibom, no forget to talk say dis project don help plenty women to chop better life. Dem don dey move from small small trade wey no fit take dem anywhere, to better oil production wey fit bring in serious cash. Before, women dey save as low as N100 weekly, but now, dem dey save between N3,000 and N5,000. Chai! Na serious upgrade be dat!
Di mill dey belong to about 200 women wey dey operate as one big cooperative. When dem finish for di year, dem go share dividends wey fit turn dem to real business ladies! Palm fruit processing na serious business, dem dey extract crude palm oil from fresh fruit bunches using machine wey sabi work like wahala. So, all di harvesting wey dem don do no go waste again!
Dis na big step wey show say women for Nigeria fit hold their own, and we dey expect plenty more successes as dem dey take dis project serious. Make we just dey watch and see how dis matter go help Abak and di women dem to blow wit plenty palm oil!
