Ahhhh, my people! Lagos no go ever sleep o, as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu don finally give green light for better make-over of Obalende bridge and bus stop wey dey suffer since God know when.
This new transport hub go turn place wey go dey organized and sabi, as dem pour better plans wey involve telecommunications giant, MTN, for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wahala. Na dem go fork out money to support this realignment wey go make Lagos shine as the megacity wey e be.
Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, talk say dis new hub go dey call Y’ELLO Bus Park, and e go get everything wey person fit think of, from well-regulated bus operations to proper signage wey go show dem where dem dey go. No more lost in translation, abeg!
Dem go even add solar panels wey go help reduce carbon wahala and make sure say we dey use better energy. And no be only dat, dem go also dey drop off recyclable items so we fit manage waste better because we no fit just dey throway things anyhow, na wetin cause plenty gbege for our environment!
Wahab also talk say dem go plant tree for everywhere, so air go dey fresh and everywhere go dey look fine. If you dey crase for trees, abeg no worry, dem go still provide rest camps for people wey dey clean and security people wey go help watch everywhere, KAI and Neighbourhood Safety corps dey inside the plan, too.
Food and drink kiosks dey also dey available for the hungry passengers wey no fit waka pass without chop. No more open place for toilet matter, as ticket booths and public toilets go dey there to handle all di wahala wey dey disturb our life. Na so dem go fit help reduce the shame of open defecation wey don dey vex everybody.
Wahab dey very serious about this project, as e get plenty plans wey go make Obalende area beta. E don talk say this place don turn one kind busy junction wey dey connect Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Mainland through the Third Mainland Bridge. Loading and offloading wahala don turn di place to ghetto.
As population dey increase, plenty people dey flock this area, and na so di wahala for illegal trading, bad waste management, and all kinds of dirty activities don born like mushroom. Sanwo-Olu even visit the place last year, na for February 18, 2024, and he dey vex say the place dey too bad, and e impact on security and public health.
So my people, make we dey watch as this transformation dey happen. E go help make Lagos shine, and we still go dey breath fresh air! Na Lagos we go dey alright!
