As per report, power generation don drop from 3,825 megawatts to mere 39 megawatts by 11 a.m. wetin no fit power a single fan talkless of a whole house! Na wa o! Just few hours before, we dey enjoy 4,762 megawatts around 6 a.m. this morning. Wetin happen to all the power wey dey flow?
Dis na the second time dis grid don fail this month and the third time wey e don happen within less than one month, my people! The last collapse bin happen on December 29 last year, and just last week Friday for January 23, 2026 wey dey show say something no dey okay for our power system.
As the grid don scatter, every Disco (distribution company) no get light to give us, meaning say all of dem dey zero. That time na just darkness we sabi see, no light, no hope! NISO (Nigerian Independent System Operator) never still talk wetin cause dis latest wahala, but we dey hear say na overload of some transmission lines wey cause am. The grid na like our national football team, any small thing, dem dey trip!
Dem come drop statement say some 330kV lines trip together, and na there the whole power system crumbled like house of cards. You fit imagine as we dey suffer every time dem talk say our power supply don dey improve. Which kind improvement person dey see for darkness?
Make we no just close eye for this matter; as the power issues dey continue, so na so our life dey pain us. Wetin we go do? We go just dey manage the small generator wey we fit use to enjoy small light and hope say one day naogbo go better for Naija!
