Nigeria no dey play when e come to health matter, my people! Anambra State government don show say dem serious as dem seal 54 health facilities wey no dey follow correct standards from January 2023 to December 2025. E no be small matter o!
Dr. Afam Obidike, wey be the Commissioner for Health, come drop this bombshell during one press conference for Awka. According to am, 15 out of the 54 hospitals don dey reopen after dem comply with wetin dem suppose do. Na wetin we dey call obodo governance, my guys!
He no carry mouth just talk am, him tok say this move na part of Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo vision to turn Anambra health system to the top level way fit compete for international stage. You sabi say even state-owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital for Amaku-Awka join for this sealing matter. E mean say no body dey above the law, no matter wetin!
Dr. Obidike dey yan, “As we announce this talk, we don achieve plenty since we start our Anambra State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (ASEMSAS) for May 11, 2023. The improvement no be joke! Emergency response don gree better, access to care don increase, and patient outcomes don improve.” This one dey sweet my belle, no lie.
Na only 10 ambulances dem start with o, but now, under the watchful eyes of Governor Soludo, dem don blow the number to over 60 across all the 21 local government areas. Wetin dey happen for Anambra na serious matter! Dem also don get 588 emergency transport units wey dey include 315 tricycle ambulances wey dey focus on Rural Emergency Services and Maternal Transportation. Na to make sure sey mamas and pikin no dey die for hard-to-reach areas!
Plus seven boat ambulances wey dey carry help go dia riverine people. This na 6 times increase wey mean say timely, life-saving care no dey only for rich people again. E dey available for everybody, whether you dey city or village!
Dr. Obidike conclude say this whole plan dey connect plenty health facilities together, whether na public, private, or faith-based ones. E go help patients wey dey carried by emergency services to get better treatment without wahala. This na how health care suppose run for correct obodo!
But no be only good news dey ground, sha. Punch Online report say earlier for August 2025, dem seal one maternity home, Mercy Maternity and Clinic for Nnewi North Local Government Area because dem dey operate under wahala hygiene standard and dem no even get license since 2018. That one no gel jo!
So, my people, as Anambra State dey shake the health system, we dey pray make all dis improvements continue so that everybody fit get better health care for dem side. Na so we go fit build better tomorrow for the next generation. Make we keep our eyes on the ground as we dey watch wetin dey happen!
