Chai! Na wetin be this? Anambra State don finally say enough is enough for the Monday sit-at-home wahala wey don dey disturb everybody for this obodo. Dem don sign Executive Order wey go make sure say all schools and offices open on Monday. E no go be joke oh, because dem go dey cut salary if you no show face!
This new law wan start from February 2026, as per law wey the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, yarn for journalists. He talk am for Awka say, if any civil servant no come work on Monday, dem go dey pay dem on pro-rata basis. Wetin dat mean be say, say bye-bye to full salary if you dey enjoy Monday for your house.
Dem say the economic loss wey don happen since dis sit-at-home dey wan run into trillions. Na serious matter, my people! All these years, public servants for Anambra don dey chill for house instead of work because dem no wan lose dem money. But now, dem go fit pay 20% less or even nothing if dem no show up.
Last week, during retreat wey the state government hold, dem agree say make everybody come back to work. Mefor emphasize say the reasons wey dey stop people from going to work don dey invalid! So if you know say you no wan cut salary, better waka go office on Mondays.
Dem dey plan to set better security all over so traders dem go fit open market freely. The government dey negotiate with market leaders too make dem open operas for Mondays. E no go make sense say government dey force workers to come while traders still dey sit-at-home, abi?
As from dis February, workers go fit clock in on Monday and clock out when work finish. If you no show up, na your pocket go suffer. Na wetin we call ‘no work, no pay’. Dem need all hands on deck to move Anambra forward.
Nah time to shine now, as dem don close chapter on IPOB sit-at-home law. Dem talk am clear: education must continue without interruption, and every child for Anambra must go school. So no more Monday japa!
Some people dey hail the new policy, say e go help children to learn and grow well. But some other folks dey complain say dis new ruling fit cause wahala for areas wey dem still dey fear IPOB wahala. But wetin be the option? Anambra no fit sit down dey fold hand while market dey close and economy dey suffer. Dis na the way to go!
