According to wetin Zakari Chado, wey be the spokesperson of the command, talk, di officers intercept one big 12-tyre truck wey be suspected to dey carry illicit drugs plus other prohibited goods. Na so dem boys mobilize plenty armed guys come launch attack on top dem patrol team, wahala don start oo!
Chado talk say before dem fit call for backup, di attackers don already dey set heavy barricades for about nine strategic areas to block access routes. Dem even open fire on di officers and scatter di tyres of one Customs patrol vehicle, make everything more dangerous and gory for ground.
During di hot exchange of fire, two Customs officers collect gunshot injuries and dem dey critical condition now, dey jolly for intensive medical care. Di smugglers use di multiple barricades wey dem set to take waka with di intercepted truck just like say na small pikin wey carry hin toy go front.
But no worry, as we dey gist, di investigation don start, and Customs don dey track di boys wey do dis barbaric act. Di Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Olukayode Afeni, don come out give dem warning say dis kind violence no go fit stop dem as dem dey work to protect our borders and national security.
Afeni don also call on traditional rulers and community leaders to help caution dem waka wey dey do smuggling and dey attack security personnel. He don talk am clearly say anybody wey run foul go face serious wahala from di law, no be joke o!
