Saharara! Na wah o! Federal Government don open mouth talk say dem go look into the health salary matter wey don dey bust brain for long. Na the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare wey carry this gist come out for Abuja. My guy, this matter don dey hot since last year, as Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) don strike since November 2025, dey demand say make dem adjust CONHESS like dem dey do for doctors.
Alaba Balogun, wey be the Director of Information, talk say plenty claims wey dey fly, say government dey stonewall when e come to the implementation of the 2021 report, no be true at all. Na beg dem dey beg JOHESU make dem cool down while dem dey sort out this salary wahala. Dem no go want hear say health workers dey scatter everywhere again.
Shout out to all the health workers wey still dey hustle even when strike dey happen. Na dem dey handle sick people while others dey shout for social media. The government dey try to keep hospitals open, but e no easy at all. Dem don hold several meetings to dey court JOHESU but na like say dem dey turn deaf ear sometimes.
From January 15, dem don get some understanding on how to settle things, but e no clear whether dem go fit end the strike anytime soon. JOHESU don drop demand like withdrawal of ‘No Work, No Pay’ circular – na serious matter, my people. Wetin make dem think say workers don fit swallow this kind arrangement?
Balogun talk say if JOHESU fit call off di strike in good faith, dem go reason the ‘No Work, No Pay’ matter. Na big big negotiations dem dey pull for ground, but some cool heads dey expected to make sense for the talks. As e be now, dem don promise to engage with NLC and TUC well so that everybody go fit jive together for health sector.
The Ministry don recognize say this salary wahala don dey waka for over ten years. Wetin them think dem go fit do? Make we dey watch as dem go. E go need serious work to ensure peace for the health sector so that every doctor, nurse, and health worker fit dey happy for their pocket too. Make we continue to dey pray make dem settle this matter before e turn to bigger wahala.
