This one no be joromi matter, e go help boost digital access for di places wey no too dey enjoy good internet. Dem dey call di project BRIDGE, and dem plan to connect 38,803 schools plus 16,872 health facilities by September 2030. Na serious wahala dis!

The project don pass World Bank Board way back on October 6, 2025, and dem don set am to make sure say broadband internet reach di remote areas for Naija. Dem no dey use small small money for inside, e get serious public and private partnership wey go make am happen.

As e stand now, number of broadband-connected facilities go waka from 33,628 to 59,103 by di time dem finish dis project. E go reach local government offices as well, wey don increase from 510 to 3,428. E sweet like sugar!

Project no get delay matter, as transaction services don dey ready, and activity go start by early 2026. Na to ensure se dem go get plenty private investment, wey fit reach $1.1 billion. Na serious sensibility we dey talk here, my guys!

By di time dis project don end, dem dey expect say number of Nigerians wey go dey use broadband go rise from 92.01 million wey dem count for April 2025 to 150 million. Na big gear up for female users as dem go increase from 30.36 million to 45 million, while for youths, dem fit jump from 57.96 million to 100 million.

Di project plan to remove 90,000 kilometers of fibre-optic network for di country, and 90 percent of am go fit deal with climate wahala. Na so e go help drop broadband prices by 20 percent and increase download speeds from 22.15 megabits to 50 megabits per second.

The project no be walk in di park, as financial report show say di $500m loan from IDA never disburse as of January 2026. Dem still dey figure out how to make e effective. But World Bank dey give dem satisfactory rating for di work wey done dey happen.
