Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, just drop serious swag as him award full scholarship to hundred new students wey don enter Government Technical College for Owo. This gist come from Mr Johnpaul Akinduro, wey be Press Secretary to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and dem drop am on Saturday.
The scholarship go cover everything wey dem need for the three years of their training. Na during 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony, wey Mr Tayo Ijabiken, the Principal of the college, take announce this fine gesture. E no easy at all!
Ijabiken come dey shout thanks to the deputy governor like say dem be family. Him talk say: “With this gesture, Your Excellency don provide financial relief for students and their families. You don inspire hope and confidence in these young learners.” E clear say dem dey appreciate am well well.
As normal, Naija politicians dey always talk big. The Principal no gree slack as he call this initiative a big boost for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for Ondo State. Him even hail Governor Aiyedatiwa say him dey committed to education and skills acquisition for youths and women. Na wetin we need!
Dr Olayide come dey represent in person, Kola Olawoye, wey be former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. He say the scholarship na part of wetin dem dey support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision to make technical education shine for the state. E get one serious point wey e talk wey dey ginger me: “If you take your training serious, you fit create joy for yourself, no be only for yourself, but for your family too!”
