E no just dey talk am for mouth oh; na as him swear in the new Commissioner for Environment, Ademola Aderinto, wey go dey waka for that Ministry.
As him dey swear in Aderinto for the Executive Chambers wey dey for Agodi, Ibadan, Makinde mention say e sabi sey dem get plenty work to do for waste management and environmental issues. E chop mouth say the people go need to cooperate with the government. Na true be that, my brothers and sisters, because no be just government wahala, na all of us dey inside this boat.
Makinde don mature pass dem political players wey dey select people base on connections. Him talk say, ‘I go dey select people for wetin dem fit offer Oyo state and wetin dem go fit add.’ E pick Aderinto based on him past work as Special Assistant for Environment. So, e no be new territory for Aderinto. Make we just hope say him go deliver well!
As e dey greet Aderinto for him new post, Makinde no forget say na plenty work dey ground. E talk say, ‘Aderinto, you don take oath of office, and you go enter this ministry wey dey challenge. We gatz crack plenty culturally entrenched issues wey dey affect how we dey handle our environment.’ E even warn say, time no dey wait for anybody. Before dem go blink, na only 16 months dey remain for this administration, and Aderinto fit still make him mark.
After the swearing-in, Aderinto self no hold back as e talk to the press. E promise say dem go address environmental waste management, climate action, and say dem go protect the environment like say na their house. Na wetin we no dey often hear before, buh na him talk say the people gatz learn how to keep our environment clean and dey respect wetin dem dey throw away.
This event no be small gathering; dem carry people wey matter come join. From the Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, to the Speaker of House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin and dem who dem represent, dey all come show support. Na real family matter for Oyo state, as everybody dey work hand in hand to make sure sey our environment clean, fresh and gree for the people.
