Iornongu don talk say dem go kick off pilot phase for three local governments for both Plateau and Benue, with help from dem United Kingdom ogbonge project wey dey support food security. The plan be say dem go dey collect data from farmers, herders, women, and youths to build better system wey go fit solve food issues.
As e be now, dem go dey pick 10 households from each three communities, talk more say after dem attend training, dem go fit get small grant support for their farm work. If dis pilot phase begin make sense, dem fit carry the plan go other local governments as well.
Hannatu Ishaku wey dey work for Federal Ministry of Agriculture don talk say this food security matter dey very crucial, especially with all this wahala wey dey happen for farming communities. E no go sweet if the people wey dey grow our food no go fit continue work because of insecurity!
Dr. Shalem Shiekuma, the national coordinator, come add say dem dey work to dey focus on how to blend food security and peace-building together. Na true say this initiative go need original plan wey fit address root causes of the wahala.
