No be small wahala, my people! Kurmin Wali village for Kaduna State just face serious attack wey make e dey look like movie. Armed bandits carry their trouble come the village, waka freely, enter three churches, abduct 169 persons and just carry their legs go back into bush without anybody to stop dem. Na wetin Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP) dey talk as dem dey cry out about this matter.
Dem say this kind thing show say our internal security system dey fail finish. Isaac Abrack wey be National Coordinator for NCYP, talk say if dem don train and deploy the Kurmin Wali people as Forest Guard, this kind wahala fit no even happen at all. Abeg, how come bandits dey waka like say na them dey rule the place? Dis one pass my understanding o!
NCYP no just stop for there; dem also praise President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, for their effort to tackle insecurity and try bring peace back. But dem talk say this attack clear say we need to put our security measures for ground sharpish. Dem reminisce wetin Tinubu promise as e wan revamp the Forest Guard matter, but dem warn say who dem go recruit be the main issue for this matter.
“If you no allow people wey sabi the forest dey part of the Forest Guard wetin go make sense?” dem ask. No be even wise to just station military and police for every corner; we need people wey dey live there to help protect their own area. Na dem sabi wetin dey happen pass!
According to NCYP, if dem don empower the locals, train dem well, this bandits no go fit dey enjoy their life so easily. You know sey criminal go always thrive where dem no dey face any resistance? If the town people dey involved, dem go fit bring down these attacks, if no be stop am totally.
Dem talk say make Tinubu try fill the local gap for the Forest Guard so that e go dey effective. “As Northern Christian Youth Professionals wey don put mouth for your election before, we wan see you fulfill this promise before we come back for our community in 2027,” dem conclude.
