Dem partner with International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) to carry out this training. Ms. Judith Toryem, wey be Project Manager for IFES Nigeria, kick off the introduction. E follow up with Mr. Obaje Ukeh, the IFES Kenya guy, wey come give dem beta gist on strategic communication and how social media fit affect public perception during elections. E even drop serious matter like how information wey dem dey share fit affect citizen confidence. Na real serious matter be that!
At the end of the workshop, INEC yan say dem dey expect say this training go boost their staff capability to manage the changing information matter wey dey show face. Na so dem suppose dey shine eye for the elections wey dey come. But no be only that, INEC don also warn say make people no believe any fake news wey dey circulate online wey talk say dem don release timetable for the 2027 elections. Dem talk say dat one no be true at all, and everybody suppose just carry the news waka.
