Mayor Michelle Wu don talk say dis event go shine light on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. She add say dis year go focus on the theme “Justice Indivisible: Fighting Racism, Greed, and War,” wey use inspiration from one of Dr. King’s popular speeches wey him don yarn since 1967.
Na big matter as dis, and e go feature keynote speaker Dr. Eve L. Ewing, wey be scholar and writer, wey don write better books like Original Sins: The (Mis)education of Black and Native Children. Dr. Ewing self dey do collaboration with Marvel Comics!

Plenty big wigs don dey attend dis King Day Celebration before, including U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley and civil rights activist Topper Carew. Na serious connections and meanings wey dey behind dis event!
