E dey talk to PUNCH Metro on Friday say him company, Rigini Homes Limited, don spend over N1bn for land wey dem buy since 2019, but trouble don start.
Owolabi talk say na 14 acres dem buy, and dem don properly document 11 acres and four plots, but this land grabbers don come disturb am like say dem no sabi law! E talk say dem invest this money from Nigerians wey dey abroad, and expected return na about N8bn. But wetin happen? Dem dey threaten am and him investment dey hang for edge.
According to him, the wahala begin for November when some boys just invade the land for night and dismantle the corner pillars wey dem use mark the land. “Nobody even see wetin happen,” e talk. After dem finish, him spend N1.6m to fix the pillars, but dem don come back again the next day come destroy am. Na so e take realize say this guys serious for dem matter.
Owolabi later report to police, but instead of the situation to get better, e don turn worse. “Na when dem start to show face, they come carry guns and other dangerous weapons. Some people even advise say make we pay them money, say once we give dem money, dem go stop all these wahala,” him elaborate.

Owolabi note say plenty people don invest well for this estate, and he no wan make this kind land grabbing discourage other investors. “We follow all necessary processes to acquire this land, and we only dey beg make authorities help us address this wahala before e too late,” him conclude.
