This wahala no be small oh! According to wetin dem talk, Dangote claim say Farouk don spend around $7 million for school fees of him children wey dey Switzerland. Chai! Na real money be dat! As usual, inside Nigeria politics, na money we dey talk here.
Dangote don accuse Farouk say e dey misuse office wey dem give am, plus say e don break Code of Conduct wey all public officers suppose follow. Wetin dey happen for this country sef? No be say money wey suppose take care of otondos dey run for road, dem dey use am for school fees across border. The big man no dey play oh!
As Dangote file petition reach ICPC wey be Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, the man later withdraw am with letter wey come from him lawyer on 5th January 2026. But the ICPC no gree rest as dem still dey check the matter based on their own law.
Fastforward to July 6, we hear say Dangote don fire fresh petition for EFCC, and dem don confirm say investigation don start, though Farouk never still receive any invitation for interrogation. Na wah! EFCC don dey follow proper process, dey write all the parties wey dey involved for the matter, gisting all the relevant issues. Them clear say inviting Farouk go come later after dem don finish their preliminary work.
One EFCC official wey talk under condition of anonymity, say dem dey write to all the institutions wey dey mention for the petition to gather information. The official talk say, ‘Whoever we go find guilty, na last go be him turn to face us.’ Dem still dey ready to gather info from abroad too, especially that school for Switzerland.
For this our past years, EFCC don dey use write letters to schools as part of their investigations. We fit remember the one wey involve Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, when dem talk say e transfer $720,000 from government money to take pay school fees for him pikin. E be like say na and so we go dey follow dem matter until dem catch the person wey dey mismanage public funds.
