You know sey water no dey for Abuja correct? Na so dem come dey vex, and the next wahala wey start na from Electricity people, AEDC. Dem cut light for Federal Capital Territory Water Board, all because of some serious unpaid bills wey dey pile since one year. Wetin dem no go do for this country? Disconnection na wetin dem sabi do best! Na so dem talk say dem don follow all the protocols, but e no mean say dem no fit gree for human side too.
Wetin come happen be say, everybody no gree relax as water begin dey run scarce. People begin shout, and AEDC no fit just sit down dey watch. Dem come release statement say, ‘See, we don hear una cry. We go reconnect light make water fit flow again o!’ And who expression fit no appreciate water flow for those dry areas?
Acting CEO of AEDC, Engr. Chijioke Okwuokenye, come clear say dem go restore light sharp sharp, but wetin dem dey do na humanitarian effort. I mean, as dem talk am, water na serious issue for health and well-being. Na like this dem dey consider the entire community, cause no body wan carry sickness come house. Na so dem put water supply for front seat!
But e no be say dem go just reconnect light any how. No, o! Dem come put conditions wey make sense: FCT Water Board must submit one plan wey go fit pay all those debts, o. Dem dey give dem two weeks to show dem work or else, dem go use disconnection knife again. No be wahala wey dem wan cause, na just business dem wan run smoothly! If dem fail, we fit hear say light don cut again, and people go dey shout.
As AEDC stand for di plan wey dey shake dem, dem still wan make sure say everybody wey dey collect light too dey pay their bills regularly, so things no go spoil for future. It no easy o! But one thing we go take from this matter be say, when there be no water, no body go smile. So, let’s hope say dis reconciliation go last and water go dey flow as e suppose be!
