Born on January 8, 1966, for University College Hospital, Ibadan, Noimot come from paddy paddy family, with her papa wey be doctor and mama wey support her education well well. She dey run anywhere from Ibadan to UK, study Civil Engineering for University of Lagos, and even go do her Master’s for Imperial College. Na brain wey dey carry am go far, no be small.

As she return to Naija, she no just sit down fold hand. This woman jump enter engineering consultancy, dey hustle and dey do entrepreneurial ventures on top. But wetin you go expect when person sabi politics since small? Noimot been dey listen to news and dey read all the fine magazines when she dey for UK, as she even participate for their politics as Commonwealth citizen. E be like say dem destiny don write am as deputy governor for Ogun State.

For 2018, she land one beta opportunity when Governor Dapo Abiodun need running mate. Even though she never contest anything before, her name come pop out among many candidates. Na so she carry the title as deputy governor, and no be lie, she dey shine well for the position.

As she dey rule, Noimot no just dey carry her own wahala alone; she dey push for women make dem enter politics too. She talk say make women dey study the ground well before dem jump waka enter election matter. No be just to dey shout say dem wan contest; dem suppose fit compete well! Na why she dey support the bill wey dey talk about reserved seats for women, but she no wan make am be all about show, make e be about real competence.

Now, after six and a half years for office, she don see many wahala and happiness. “My life no be the same again since I enter this position,” she talk. “I dey always in public eye, but I no get regrets. Na privilege for person to serve.” Noimot dey balance her work-life with plenty support from her family. E no easy, but family give am stronghold.

For Ogun West, where she come from, dem dey wait for dem time to produce governor, and she dey urge her paddy paddy to unite and push as one. She believe say if everybody join hands, dem go fit change narrative come 2027 permit.

Noimot dey wake up early, pray, drink tea, read emails, then dey dive into work. Experience don teach am well; as she dey see feedback from people, she dey learn to grow. No be easy, but she dey manage everything well.

As she dey turn 60, this woman no just dey celebrate age, but dey reflect on her life and the impact wey she fit make. “My family dey important to me. Everything I do na for them. I dey pray for many years to come for success and prosperity,” she talk.
