For one big gathering wey farmers gather for Abuja, Shettima talk say every school suppose get their own farm. Him no dey talk about just planting; him dey talk about instilling the mindest wey go make pikin dem sabi say food na wealth, land na power, and farming no be for those wey no fit do anything better.

Him don vex say people dey see farming as low status work. According to am, this kind thinking don cost Naija plenty—everything from food security to national pride don dey lose. As e talk am, “Farming na work wey fit build nation, leaders suppose dey farm, no be just for meeting talk.”

General Christopher Musa, wey be Minister of Defence, kon follow talk about how farmers dey face security wahala. Him gree say government go try help make farming areas dey safe again, because we all sabi say if farmers no dey safe, na our food production go suffer.

Dr. Farouk Mudi, wey dey lead All Farmers Association of Nigeria, don also add say climate change and high input cost dey play serious role for wetin dey happen. Wetin be this? “Rain dey come late, and flooding dey destroy our farms. Every year, fertiliser prices dey rise like say dem dey run race.”

Him still talk say livestock matter dey hot, as Naija dey import milk and dairy products wey go fit help we, but instead, we dey waste $1.5 billion e go almost ₦2.2 trillion for food imports every year. For 10 years, more than 10,000 lives don dey lost to farmer-herder wahala, and property wey dey lost na ₦500 billion. Wetin we go do?”

Shettima don talk say make leaders and organisation commit to this agriculture matter wey dem talk. Agriculture fit rise Naija economy again, but we gatz embrace am as a serious business. Na only this way we fit secure our future and food supply.

As e be now, Naija dey depend plenty on food import, which dey make local farmers dey struggle to survive. Shettima dey call on everybody to join hands, make we go back to the roots, let’s make agriculture become the main thing for our schools and parent the proper way.
