My people, make we gather in one corner as we dey wait for serious gist wey go drop tomorrow for Supreme Court matter wey concern Aminu Sule Lamido. Dis guy na the son of former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, and e don carry plenty wahala since 2012 when EFCC catch am for Kano airport.
Aminu dey face serious matter because dem catch am with $40,000 wey e no declare. He just talk say e carry $10,000 go Egypt – wetin no match wetin e really carry. Na so wahala start for am. E sabi say dem suppose declare any cash wey pass $10,000 for Customs Currency Declaration Form, but Aminu no follow the law, and dem don nail am for am own truth.
Dis whole matter happen on December 11, 2012 when he wan board plane go Egypt. Dem EFCC people no fit just sit down make am pass; dem arrest am sharp sharp. Fast forward to February 2013, dem carry am go court. By July 12, 2015, court don seal im fate and gree say make e pay 25 percent of the money wey e no declare to Federal Government.
Aminu no gree jolly for that verdict, so he carry the matter go Court of Appeal for Kaduna. But the appeal go back like the way e come; dem reject am with serious style. No be small matter – dem judge talk finish for December 7, 2015, say make all Aminu matter rest for ground and make e dey check how e go fit escape wetin court don already decide.
No be say dem just leave am for dis matter o! Aminu no tire, e carry him case go Supreme Court – the final bus stop! Na so e dey try convince dem to nullify every decision wey don drop since the case start. This one na serious level, my people.
EFCC lawyer wey dey handle dis case from start, DCE Sa’ad Hanafi, dey represent dem with serious mind while Chief O E B Offiong (SAN) dey hold Aminu side. Dis matter don reach final stage as Supreme Court ready to drop dem judgement tomorrow, January 16, 2026. E go sweet as we dey wait wetin dem go talk, because dis one fit change the narrative for Aminu. Everybody dey hold dem breath!
