Dis take happen for the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day Gala Night wey hold for Abuja, and na dem brave soldiers wey face terrorists make dem receive plenty awards.

For make we start, the late Brigadier General Musa Uba dey among those wey eyes shine for dis ceremony. E be like say na im dey carry the flag high as e don receive the Gallantry Award for im bravery during counter-insurgency operations for Borno State before dem ambush am last year. Na real soldier him be, and we go miss am!

No be only General Uba na im receive award o, e get plenty other generals wey do well for dem various roles too. Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, na di man wey collect Service and Sacrifice Award, as e dey provide keen leadership when matter dey hot. E don show wetin it mean to serve with heart since e don dey in charge.

Major General Abdulsalami Enesi Abubakar and Major General Faruk Mijinyawa na second-in-command wey also show dem skills for leadership and gan-gon decision-making, dem too collect Service and Sacrifice Award. Dis na big kudos to dem for dem hard work on top military operations.

Another well-deserved recognition na Colonel Ibrahim Mohammed Gero, wey invent new ballistic gunboat wey dey support Operation DELTA SAFE. Na so innovation and creativity dey push naija military enter better level. Chai! We fit even say him na di mad scientist of military!

Late Colonel B. Umaru and Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Ebisingha Alari don receive posthumous awards too for their gallantry wey na for operation against Boko Haram. Na true heroes we go always remember, sha. E dey show say even though dem no dey around again, their legacy go still dey inspire many future soldiers.

Talking about veterans, we no fit forget former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (rtd). E don receive Legacy Award for all di gbege and reforms wey e bring during him tenure. Na him dey hustle to make di military better yansh, and e deserve am!

Even di President, Bola Tinubu, wey dey represented by Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, talk say di Armed Forces must remain disciplined and loyal. E still announce two initiatives: Thank-A-Soldier Electronic Wall and di My Nigerian Hero Campaign, wey go make Nigerians fit show appreciation and shout for di military, wetin na good move to support dem more.
