My people, the political wahala no go finish for Kano anytime soon o! As the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) don clear the air say their leader, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, no gree endorse any rumoured defection of Abba Yusuf, we dey see serious gbege brewing.
Dem wahala start when Premium Times drop report wey talk say Kwankwaso go allow Yusuf waka enter All Progressives Congress (APC). But NNPP no wan hear any of that jare! Their mouthpiece, Ladipo Johnson, don label that gist as ‘wicked lie’ and ‘blatant falsehood’. E even talk say some political actors dey twist Kwankwaso’s words to fit their own agenda, no be small!
Johnson no dey play at all. E don challenge Yusuf and im supporters make dem no hide under Kwankwaso’s name if dem wan japa. E talk say if dem sure say greener pasture dey for dem, make dem just pack their load and commot, no need to dey mislead the populace like say Kwankwaso don salute their waka.
Meanwhile, Kwankwaso himself dey vex as he don call the talk wey dey fly around as ‘cold betrayal’. E dey more concentrated on how to cool down the political heat wey don rise for Kano than adding fire to the matter. Na true, e don tell those wey dey feel pressure say if dem wan jam document for APC, make dem do am quick before wahala go start.
The tension for Kano no be joke, as security operatives don begin block roads and mount presence around Government House like say dem dey prepare for war. E no get as e be wey dem go dey use armored vehicles like say na battleground.
Na here the matter take twist again, as Shekarau, former governor of Kano, don speak his own verse for this political song. E dey talk say if Yusuf decide to japa, no be wahala because Kwankwaso sef don defect several times. Shekarau ask why dem go dey call am betrayal when Kwankwaso no return PDP governorship seat when e jump ship to APC before. E don dey pepper dem with puns of loyalty while dem dey throw shade at each other.
So, my guys, abeg make we dey shine our eyes well, because this political saga go plenty twist and turns. Gist dey unfold, and dem no go stop until we see wetin go happen next! Stay tuned as we dey report more as e dey hot.
