Wetin dey happen for Kebbi State? E be like say dem don open Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga again! Na big news, no be small! After dem carry 24 female students waka from the school about three months ago, people don dey ask wetin go happen next. The place don original gidi gidi since that kash-kash happen last November.
Dr. Halima Bande, wey be the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, don talk for press say dem don put plenty security matters in place to make sure say the girls go dey safe. She no dey play as she yan say, “We no go allow bandit wahala scatter our peace.” Na serious matter and dem don set beta protocols wey go fit protect the students.
Parents dey breathe small relief as dem enter the time wey dem fit send their pikin go school again. She talk say dem get counseling sessions for the girls wey come out from that wahala, to help dem mind and soul recover from the shock.
Dem also dey organize security awareness for principals and staff, make dem sabi their level. Na how to turn their school compound into the fortress wey go make any bandit waka pass. “The community too get role wey dem suppose play, no be small,” na wetin Dr. Bande talk again.
But no be all parts of Kebbi gosee this reopening. Some states like Niger still dey under serious wahala and many schools remain shut down. Na so we go dey try manage the balance between school and security. Na serious matter, as dem dey talk say education na the way out for our future, but wetin go we do if bandits dey throw hand for our education? Nna, I no fit shout!
Many people dey cry say free learning for children no suppose dey used to play. And as dem gather to reopen the schools, dem still dey hold back tears for the people wey lost their children to the abduction. Abductions don dey scatter enough families already and the echoes of fear still dey resonate for everybody.
Dem don set measures to make sure schools operate under beta conditions, including extra police patrol and way wey local people go fit cooperate with security agencies. But no be all schools fit open well as e get locations wey bandits still dey operate like say na dem own land.
No be only Kebbi dey face this matter. Education activists don dey shout say the our government gatz do more to protect schools and make sure children get better future. The fear wey dey stop parents from sending their children back to school dey across the Northern Nigeria.
So, as school don open again, wetin go dey happen next? Make we dey look how government go fit sustain dis reopening and truly secure our schools for better education future. Na serious matter, my people. Everybody gatz dey vigilant as we dey pray make the girls wey don come back find their feet and the kids wey still dey home fit also return back to school. Na the way forward, wey everybody dey hope for.
