Her name na Winifred Maduko, and she don win Achieved Impact Award for Scottish Graduate School of Social Science Impact Competition. The award na for her grassroots public health project wey focus on ‘Antimicrobial Resistance’ (AMR) for Naija. You sabi say this thing dey cause wahala, especially as many people dey misuse antibiotics like say na sweet! Maduko ultimate aim na to change the way wey community people dey view and use antibiotics. She carry this matter for head, go inside communities, teach them how to sabi use antibiotic well, no be just dey dash. Na real gist, my people.
For the project, she gather 30 people wey know dey sharp for community to participate for workshops. Dem come create posters, radio jingles, and one short film wey fit enter any house. All this thing na for inform the community about the dangers of self-medication and common myths wey dey go round.
