Last Saturday, for Sokoto South Local Government Secretariat, dem kick off this initiative with plenty important people wey come gather for the matter. Dem no wan carry last as Hon. Faruk Umar Garba (dem call am Soccer) dey represent LGA Chairman, Hon. Ya’u Muhammad Danda. Him use im mouth do am strong, praise the governor for how e dey show love for the people wey dey suffer.
SEMA Special Adviser, Hon. Aminu Liman Bodinga no go show face, but Professor Abubakar Sambo Junaidu wey dey represent am talk say this relief dey come at the right time. E say e go help the people wey don suffer plenty because of the floods. Wetin dem need now na real help wey go boost their morale and restore their lives.
Na each local government area go collect N10 million wey dem fit use to start their life over again. Professor Junaidu urge the beneficiaries make dem wise and use the money well. E no just be to chop am, but to rebuild their markets, farms, and lives.
Arewa PUNCH dey follow the matter as SEMA dey plan to extend this cash disbursement to other affected LGAs. Dem try to make sure say everybody wey suffer from the floods go get something to support their recovery. Na better step for restoration of normal life for all the impacted communities.
