The Minister of Works, David Umahi, don yarn say dem go start to dey collect toll when dem finish the road. E talk am well well on top Saturday wey don pass while him dey do inspection for Lagos. My guy, Umahi no wan just open road like that make traffic dey flow come dey talk about toll later. Na so e be.
Umahi talk say, “This road go dey tolled by the contractor; na part of wetin dey come.” E get level of planning wey him dey expect from the contractor before dem fit open the road permanently. E say, “I go invite the contractor make dem give us the program.” Na serious matter! Him no wan just make people dey waka for road without any plan.
The minister also talk say about the budget wahala wey dey follow the project, him don conclude say no extra money fit enter this road matter again, dem don go report am to Bureau of Public Procurement. E say, “We don finalize the re-measurements, and no way to increase budget again.”
No be small thing o! E reveal say na N170 billion extra don enter this project because of re-alignments, high-rise buildings wey dem get to save, shore protection, plus plenty refuse dumps wey dem clear wey dey deep like gully.
As e dey hot, Hitech Construction Company dey handle this whole wahala. Umahi talk say, “Hitech go handle di risk, na part of wetin dem go contribute make our nation better.”
