My people, wetin dey happen for our health sector no be small matter o! Federal Government don come out strong, tell all the Chief Medical Directors and Medical Directors say, from January 2026, dem go implement ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy for all those wey dey join the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) strike. Na wah!
This no be ordinary small gist, o! According to the circular wey dey fly since January 8, wey Abisola Adegoke sign for the Ministry of Health, dem emphasize say, make ensure say critical services like accident and emergency, labour wards, and intensive care units still dey run, no wahala. Dem talk say make hospital wahala no stop the service wey people dey need. If you be government doctor wey no gree work, your pay go just dey go like that. E sure me say e go make sense!
JOHESU dey on strike since November 15, 2025, as dem dey vex say the government no wan implement the adjusted health salary structure wey dem dey call CONHESS. Dem say this one dey affect their welfare and all the gbege dey too plenty. Na so dem come decide say make everybody join hand for this strike matter. Dem no dey play as e be!
Federal Ministry of Health don alert all CMDs and MDs say make dem run hospital operations without interruption. Dem don talk say any staff wey wan work make dem no allow anybody disturb am. Hospitals must some locum staff fit dey stand in. This one go fit help prevent wahala if our health system wan go down. Omo, na only God fit save us if e bad, true true.
Experts don talk say this ‘No Work, No Pay’ plan fit make the whole health system dey shake like jollof wey dey boil. Because the people wey dey strike include nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and so on, without dem, e go dey hard to deliver health services to people wey dey need am.
Dr. Gabriel Adakole wey be public health expert don talk say the government fit win this strike matter legally, but e no go change the fact say our health system dey fragile as e be. People wey come hospital dey suffer sabi, because hospital fit dey open, but e go be like say all the good workers don disappear like smoke. Na the patients go dey bear the brunt of this wahala.
As the thing dey hot now, make we dey watch as e dey unfold, because we all sabi say our health sector need serious attention. Na only patience and proper dialogue fit help us for this one because ‘No Work, No Pay’ no go solve the real wahala wey dey ground. Abeg, make everybody just hold on tight, and make we dey listen to the government and JOHESU talk dem way.
