The Director-General of Industrial Training Fund, Dr. Afiz Ogun, talk am as e take open the Skill-Up Artisans Zonal Rally for Kano, wey be beta move to carry the awareness enter the North-West region.
Ogun wey send im representative, Muhammad Aminu, talk say this SUPA program dey set to turn artisans from being job seekers to own their own businesses. Na big move wey fit turn skills into better livelihood!
As e dey yarn, he beg all artisans for the North-West to catch this wave, upgrade their skills and sabi do plenty things wey go make dem fit compete anywhere, whether for Nigeria or abroad.
“We dey call on our traditional rulers, community leaders, youth leaders, and anybody wey wan see our artisans grow to join hands with us,” Ogun yan sharply.
He add say dem target na for artisans, technicians, tradespeople, and anybody wey get talent and get work wey dey fit rectify our economy small small. Na dem be the backbone of we country.
On the rally ground, Mrs. Nancy Ekong, wey be the Director for Technical Vocational Skills Training, also carry big gist come, as she let us sabi say over 30,000 artisans don upgrade their skills last year under the first SUPA program. E be like say the hustle dey pay!
People wey attend the rally no be small, dem dey represent plenty trades like electrical installation, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fashion design and even ICT. Na beta chance for dem to learn and grow!
