The Commander for Federal Fire Service, Suleiman Anas, don talk am clear say dem no dey joke with the safety of lives and property for FCT. E drop this gist during the promotion ceremony wey dem hold for 733 officers wey just get higher rank. This promotion na the highest wey dem don see since the FCT Command start. Na big deal jare!
As he dey talk, Suleiman still yarn say promotion na serious morale booster for the officers. E mean say dem go fit work better, do better, and dey serious with wetin dem dey do. ‘We go give our 101 percent to make sure say everybody dey safe,’ na wetin e talk. E fit sound like play, but dem dey ready to show wetin dem fit do!
But make I no forget, dem no just promote people for the fun of it o! Dem promote three officers wey don dey Chief Superintendent status to Assistant Controller, and plenty others too. 547 officers don move from Assistant Superintendent of Fire I to Deputy Superintendent of Fire. Dem dey serious like that!
Anas come add say make Abuja people dey safety conscious, and no be say make we dey form legend—once emergency show face, make we no waste time dial the emergency line quick quick. Na dem work to respond and dey do am well. And no be lie, the earlier you call, the faster dem go come!
And as if say na small matter, this promotion go follow with new deployment within the command. Meaning say dem go shuffle officers around to make sure everything dey run like well-oiled machine. Abeg, na wetin we need be dat!
Last last, make we talk about that time when the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board promote over 24,000 officers across all these agencies like say na festival. E be like say everybody wan rise up for better work. So if you dey inside Abuja, abeg make you relax, because your safety dey for our Fire Service guys hand!
